Open Access Policy
The Journal of Safety and Environment has changed to an open-access（OA） journal starting from the 7th issue of 2024. All articles published thereafter will be permanently available for free reading and downloading by readers on our journal website. Additionally, since its establishment in 2001, all articles have been transformed into open-access works, and readers can freely read and download them on our journal website.
License Policy
Permitted third party reuse is defined by the following user license: Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-No Derivs (CC BY-NC-ND). This license allows reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format for noncommercial purposes only, and further does not permit distribution of the article if it is changed or edited in any way. Copyright Statement
Once accepted, authors are required to sign a copyright transfer agreement with the editorial office of Journal of Safety and Environment. Authors agree to automatically transfer the copyright of the article to the editorial office, including, but not limited to, the following rights over all or part of the article: compilation, distribution, reproduction, translation, and dissemination via information networks; permission for indexing and inclusion in domestic and international literature retrieval and database systems; authorization for publication and use in various media, formats, and languages; and use in accordance with the laws of the People’s Republic of China, current or future. The editorial office allows authors to continue using the article in the following circumstances: 1) applying for patents; 2) academic reports and presentations; 3) non-commercial academic exchanges; 4) use under the CC BY-NC-ND license; 5) other activities permitted and authorized by the editorial office.
Article Processing Charge
To support open-access publishing, the Journal of Safety and Environment charges a page fee (also known as Article Publishing Charge, APC) which needs to be paid by the authors or by their institution. The APC fee is 2,900 CNY for papers with 5 pages or less than 5 pages; if the paper is more than 5 pages, from page 6 to page 9, the APC fee increases from 600 CNY per page to 900 CNY per page correspondingly; from page 10, the APC fee is 1000 CNY per page. The reviewing fee is 400 CNY for each paper.
Long-term Archiving
Paper copies of each issue of the Journal of Safety and Environment are permanently archived at the National Archives of Publications and Culture China. Starting from the first issue of 2001 (Volume 1), all journal articles have been digitally archived and can be freely searched, read, or downloaded the journal's website (https://aqhje.cbpt.cnki.net/portal).
Author self-archiving
This journal allows authors to store all versions of their articles in an institution of their choice or other knowledge repositories, provided that the standard publication information is included in the article metadata of the stored institution or other knowledge repository, and is used as the recommended citation format.
